Unique to SUNY, the television and film arts (TFA) bachelor of arts degree, combines coursework from the Communication, English, and Theater departments.
The degree gives students a solid foundation in the art of the story. Through interdisciplinary course work, students are introduced to a wide variety of storytelling media; oral, narrative fiction and memoir, play writing, narrative and documentary film, and television.
The program's interdisciplinary nature ensures that students receive a broad-based curriculum preparing them for a variety of careers in the entertainment industry. An emphasis on hands-on training through internships and professional interaction facilities learning outcomes "in the field."
